13 Inch 12 Amp Electric Scarifier with Collection Bag and Removable Blades

OK so I bought that hoping that it would ease the work on my back and shoulders when dethatching my in-laws back yard and it did. The yard is 3200sq ft., and after about 3 hours using the Goplus 2-in-1 Lawn Dethatcher and Scarifier, I had collected 38 30gal. trash bags of thatch 38 BAGS. Yes, I went very aggressive - lowest setting - I had to stop and empty the bag attachment after about 4'-6', but that was so much easier than raking that area and faster too. This device is low cost but don't let that fool you, its well built, easy to put together, lightweight enough to maneuver in tight turns and it HANGS on the wall in the garage for storage. It does the job its designed to do and does it very well. After the thatching was done I found so many areas of the yard where it was nothing but dirt and you could never tell because of the thatch sitting on top made you believe that it was just a dead lawn. Since then we used the Scarifier attachment like a small tiller and dug into the barren patches to get it ready for fertilizing and seeding. Expecting a much greener and better lawn come this spring.

I used it to power rake (dethatch) my lawn in preparation for planting winter rye — green lawn all winter. The machine was easy to use and the result was excellent. My yard is 1/4 acre and it took me about 3 hours to do 2 passes (2nd pass was perpendicular to the 1st pass). Literally every seed germinated (planted mid-November in North Carolina). Did the same with my neighbor’s yard and also loaned it to a friend who did his yard. We have the only green lawns in the neighborhood. Well-built durable machine. Wish the bag were bigger. I tugged along a large wagon that I dumped all the thatch in, then periodically emptied the wagon. This machine pulls up huge amounts of thatch (200 lbs for my small yard).

I love this thing. Bought a good battery to go with it, and have never looked back. My gas can is gathering dust out in the garage.

What's not to like? Works as advertised, lightweight, and inexpensive compared to renting similar equipment. Used it on 4 different areas of my lawn and performed as expected. I hope to get many more uses.

Very skeptical, however upon use it works great and electric cord not a problem at all.
