  This is basically a glorified quiet well performing fan. For over a hundred dollars it is kind of expensive, I think. Yes, you can add ice packs to the water tank on the bottom for a slightly cooler breeze. But how much cooler? Not super cool. And the breeze does not cool the whole room or whole house, just the area it is aimed at. Also, if you have carpet, you cannot roll around this fan with water in the tank. It is hard to move around on carpet so be forewarned. Additionally, there is a flaw in the design that makes the water tank prone to cracking. Mine cracked in the first week or two and the company sent me out another one within a month or so. This was quite annoying. You have to be very careful with the water tank - it's a poor design. Other than that, I'm glad I have this for the hot summer months. It's nowhere near as good as real air conditioning, but it's a hell of a lot cheaper. Thanks for reading and good luck.

  This is the second time I have purchased an air cooler. The honeywell air cooler that I bought will generate some serious strong winds, but the noise of the honeywell is very loud and not suitable for indoor use. I feel like a lot of these machines are not very nice to look at, but I love the design of this unit Love the ease of the remote and the portability to move from room to room. Water tray and ice pack are easy to remove and replace. The noise is not as loud as Honeywell, and I can still fall asleep normally. Love that it does not take moisture out of the air to heat the room which causes dry skin and dry mouth. Work great and keeps moisture in the room. This heating effect is also good, I only have nest thermostat is on the first floor, it can’t really adjust the temperature of the second floor, especially the bedroom, and it wastes energy at night. This heater is easy to use just like a normal fan. And they really save my bill.
