Besides, the bucket with a lid under the seat can be easily removed so you can use it over a toilet for safe toileting.
Durable Material and Stable Structure: Designed with a padded seat and backrest that is filled with ultra-soft sponges and covered with waterproof and stain-resistant PVC, the mobile shower chair provides a comfortable sitting experience while allowing for easy cleaning. In addition, supported by a heavy-duty and anti-rust aluminum frame, it can load up to 300 lbs.
Multiple Comfortable Adjustments: The height can be adjusted in 4 positions from 36.5" to 39.5", which is not only suitable for people of different heights but also meeting your multiple needs. Moreover, the height of footrests can also be adjusted in 3 positions allowing you to find a perfect position to rest your legs and feet.
● Users-Friendly Design: The bathroom wheelchair is equipped with convenient flip-away footrests that can be folded and rotated 90° to the side for patients to stand up or sit on easily. And the armrests can also be rotated 90° bringing convenience for moving patients. It is ideal for the elderly, disabled, or anyone needing assistance in the shower or toilet.
● Smooth Rolling: Thanks to the 4 big universal wheels with locks, the mobile shower chair could move smoothly in any direction and stop safely in place. It can move easily over carpets, bathrooms, and various terrains. More than that, it adopts medical mute wheels that would not disturb others when moving around.

do not leave the hospital without having this at home first!

Our son had extensive orthopedic surgery with required the casting of both legs. We needed a chair that could easily transport him back and forth from his bedroom to the bathroom. This chair provided the functionality as both a wheelchair transport chair, and commode when needed. This is a super solid chair that’s actually quite easy to assemble. As with everything, I made a few small errors, but was able to correct them quickly. The assembly instructions were simple to follow with visual aids printed. The chair has some very solid components, especially the steel alloy tubing. Our preference for the seating was this large square cushion is a flat and thick without the cut outs for the toilet seat. The toilet section has it is own padded cushion that is tear resistant and can be wiped down with anti-bacterial wipes for cleaning. The cushion is designed to be used in the shower if necessary. Our son is slightly under 100 pounds but this version is rated for persons up to 250 pounds. I have used this seat when sitting with him while he is resting in his bed recovering. The seat is nice and wide, enough to accommodate a heavier wider person. The rear wheels include brakes that lock into place to keep the chair from unintended rolling. The commode can have the lid on or off. The liners that we purchased separately from this chair fit the commode with no issues. Having liners helps with sanitization and keeping this chair as sterile as possible. I am impressed with the versatility. It works great at the bedside, but can also roll over the bathroom toilet. Because the wheels all move like independent casterers, the maneuverability is awesome. Especially in the bathroom. No need for 5 point turns. The arms are sturdy. Even though they are able to be raised and lowered, there’s an additional bar for added support so an individual can use these to boost themselves without it collapsing.

Excellent shower-commode wheelchair with minor flaws

I'm not a verified purchaser because my sister made the purchase back in October 2022 for our dad who has right side paralysis from a stroke. He's been using this shower wheelchair now daily and he prefers this as his commode - we got rid of the Medicare-covered one which he hated. The seat's a little small and uncomfortable, but this was the only shower wheelchair that would fit in his ShowerBay shower unit and also has arms that can be lifted out of the way. It's worked great - though it does seem a little rickety, it's actually quite sturdy. Two things about it: 1) If you're wheeling a person and happen to try to lift up on the back of the chair, the whole back piece comes up in your hands! When wheeling it over a threshold, it's only natural to try to lift up on the chair back, but that's a no-no. You just need to have enough speed to get over threshold moldings and take ramps slowly (we have a small ramp down to the shower room). 2) Just this week a freak thing happened (see photos). One of the leg pins that secures the wheel shaft to the chair leg popped off. We don't know how it happened as the pins are quite well-secured by a round clip that mostly surrounds the pole of the chair leg. But somehow or other, one of them popped off without the aide knowing it and so the wheel shaft retracted up into the hollow chair leg (see photo) and the wheel (though locked) was up off the ground when the aide was transferring my dad to the chair. As the chair fell over when the aide lowered my dad onto it, thankfully the aide was able to quickly recover and hold my dad up again until another person in the house could come to help. The chair was fixed quickly and we don't understand how that clip could have come off, but it did. So now we have put electrical tape around ALL of those chair leg clips to ensure none of them will pop off. Still, it's been over a year of using this chair and this is the first time something like this has happened, so we're overall very happy with this shower-commode wheelchair. BTW, the way we use the bucket on the commode: the design allows us to squeeze the bucket and pop it off the rails to remove it when my dad has finished his business and it allows us then to clean him and fully bathe him (sponge bath) while he is still sitting in the shower wheelchair, or to then wheel him into the shower for more thorough washing without having to lift him up to remove the bucket. I don't think that's what the manufacturers had had in mind, but it works for us as we are often a one-person operation, so there's not a second person available to help remove the bucket if my dad were lifted up off the chair for a moment to do so. The one plastic railing (for the bucket) broke at one point - seems like an aide who didn't know what they were doing must have forced it in some strange way - but we were able to do a makeshift repair to it and it's held up okay.

    A nice chair

It's for my grandma so she can continue to enjoy the shower without help. She's independent, but her feet aren't very stable, so I wanted to buy something that would allow her to enjoy the shower without falling over. My grandmother is 86 years old. She put it together and put it herself in the bathroom so it wouldn't be heavy, and her bathroom isn't big, but this fits. It gave Grandma a very sturdy seat, allowed her to enjoy the shower longer, and gave me peace of mind. She likes it very much and uses it every day, so I'm happy with it.
