Great customer service
My unit burner didn't work. The seller did a great job to help me troubleshoot the issue. In the end, same result. Seller issued full refund.
I think this unit is a good addition to by back yard cooking experience.
It heats up pretty quick, (and cools quickly too) it has an interior that is easy to wipe clean (I use tin foil in the bottom for drippings) and has numerous adjustable slots for the product I'm cooking. I primarily use it for Sous Vide Searing but have cooked beautiful steaks from raw too. It is a good unit for two people. If I had a larger family I might consider a larger unit if I started from raw each time I used it. It comes with a 5' hose which is great. The write ups I read before purchasing said it had some sharp edges, true, some areas are clearly stamped. There are some edges that could have been made smoother but for a careful adult it is not an go no go decision on buying this unit
The meat roasted with this is very delicious, we often have a lot of activities, we will use this to roast. My kids love it too.
Steaks and then some!
Another new gadget from Costway this month. It is a Infrared propane fired steak grill (Salamander type grill). https://m.costway.com/propane-infrared-steak-grill-bbq-stainless-steel-single-burner.html?routetype=product&id=15275 The grill is a “broiler” type grill with a top mounted infrared ceramic burner. The burner heats to approximately 1500 degrees and allows you to get a nice sear/crust on your steaks. I’ve had the chance to cook a ribeye, filet, and strip so far and they have all turned out good. One tip is to use the drip pan at the bottom to melt some butter while you preheat the grill. Then right before you put the steaks on dip them in the melted butter and you will have a nice buttery “Ruth’s Chris” style steak. You can only fit 2 decent sized steaks on the grate, so it has a warming tray on the top of you need to keep them warm while you cook more. It’s best to cook a thick cut steak as thin steaks won’t handle the heat this puts out and you will quickly over cook your steak. My next cook is going to some charbroiled oysters with some garlic butter and cheese.all of the grills internal parts are stainless and easily clean up once the grill cools down. For the price being around $200 you can’t beat this grill. Most other grill similar to this one can run up to $999.
Better than expected, a rarity these days.
Stop second guessing yourself and order this grill. I have made a few ribeyes on here and have decided I will never go to another steakhouse again. Watch the videos they help out a lot on the what lever and time to cook your food at first, then adjust and tweak till you find your happy spot.
